One way to do this is to reduce the number of calories in one of your meals while keeping the rest of your eating habits the same, for example by eating a salad for dinner. If this is enough to bring your calorie intake below your calorie usage, you will lose weight. If you don&#8217;t see results, increase your daily exercise to boost the number of calories you burn.</p>
<ul>
<li>Make your nightly salad in a large mixing bowl, filled most of the way with leafy greens. The salad should be large enough to feel satisfying but should be mostly vegetables. Slice into the bowl asparagus, mushrooms, broccoli, carrots, cucumbers, squash or tomatoes, for example, to add variety.</li>
<li>Add a protein source, such as lean meat, tofu or beans, to the salad. Don&#8217;t use heavy meats, such as beef or pork. Replace the protein source on some nights with a small amount of a source of healthy fat, such as avocado or nuts.</li>
<li>Dress the salad lightly with a low-fat vinaigrette, or put some dressing in a small dish and dip your fork into it before you spear a mouthful of salad. A small amount of dressing goes a long way in terms of taste and also in terms of calories, so use as little of it as possible. Alternatively, dress your salad as liberally as you like with lemon juice or vinegar and spices.</li>
<li>Vary your meal by sometimes slicing fresh fruit into your salad instead of additional vegetables. Sprinkle a small handful or nuts or seeds on top, and dress the salad with lemon juice or cinnamon and pepper.</li>
<li>Drink water with your meal. Avoid high-calorie drinks such as juice, soda and alcohol.</li>
<li>Brush your teeth within half an hour of finishing your meal. The minty taste in your mouth curbs cravings for additional food.</li>
<li>Exercise for at least 150 minutes each week. Walking briskly, jogging, swimming, dancing and cycling burn calories and help you create the caloric deficit you need to lose weight.</li>

However, recent evidence suggests caffeine does not increase alertness, due to a tolerance buildup to caffeine&#8217;s effects.</p>
<p>According to the study, moderate caffeine consumption has been connected with an increase in alertness. This study was aimed at linking caffeine with dependence, but also found that those who consume caffeine are more alert. The mechanism is simple. Caffeine is a stimulant that acts on many systems of the body, including the nervous system. By stimulating the action of the nervous system, caffeine is thought to increase your alertness.</p>
<p>Researchers involved in the study published in &#8220;Neuropsychopharmacology&#8221; in June 2010 state that those who drink coffee regularly may have a developed tolerance to its effects. The alertness regular coffee drinkers feel after having their regular amount simply brings them back to their &#8220;normal&#8221; state. In addition, researchers state that caffeine can increase your anxiety levels, which may be part of the effect that caffeine has on your cognitive state.</p>
<p>Caffeine affects many parts of your body, including your cardiovascular, digestive and urinary systems. If caffeine is not really making you more alert, you may want to consider cutting back to prevent any negative health effects. <span id="more-2418"></span>However, the low to moderate consumption of caffeine should be safe. Taking in 200 mg of caffeine per day, about two cups of coffee, should be okay if you just can&#8217;t live without it.</p>

As a mother of one, Maya knows the importance of taking the right amount of calcium. She said that when calcium intake is insufficient the mother in later life will suffer low bone density that could lead to osteoporosis.</p>
<p>This is something true because the unborn child depends on the mothers calcium for growth and development. If there is lower calcium intake there will be resorption of calcium from the mother&#8217;s bones. By then, the mother loses about 250mg to 300mg of calcium daily to help build up her baby&#8217;s bones, on top of her daily calcium requirements. That is the reason pregnant women and lactating women greatly need the <a href="http://www.calcium-supplements.org/" target="_blank">best calcium supplement</a> to suffice the requirement.</p>
<p>But, while thinking I remember calcium not only serve the bone for its health. It also helps the body by aiding muscle contraction and relaxation, blood coagulation and nerve impulse transmission. Aim for 30 minutes of moderately intense aerobic exercise like swimming or brisk walking most days of the week.</p>

<p>Well, I feel a little envious towards her on that part. I don&#8217;t think I will be able to keep up with her as of this time. It might be better getting help from supplements to get in shape. This means that people who suffer from it tend to spread it to others who, in turn, are pushed to the periphery of the social network where they too start infecting other people. The implications of such a thing include marginalization, in the context of society naturally turning its back on these people, based on the findings of the study.</p>
<p>Although loneliness is a very complex state that is as difficult to define as it is to “treat,” people who tend to be lonely only become more so with the passing of the years. They start losing friends and move to the margins of their social network, but in doing so, they also spread their loneliness to other people who have the same tendency. Not surprisingly, women are easier influenced this way than men, the study has also learned.</p>
<p>The fact that lonely people can infect others has led researchers to compare society’s fabric to a regular fabric, which will inevitably fray at the edges. Still, solutions for this are to be found in campaigns that target these people with the aim of drawing them out. Otherwise, they will be left on their own; add to that the societies develop a “natural tendency” to rid themselves of such people, and one can easily understand why researchers see reason to worry in this tendency.</p>

Sadly, our lifestyle is also responsible for the rising number of cancer cases, as a new report by the World Cancer Research Fund has shown: drinking, lack of exercise and obesity are three of the most important factors, after smoking, responsible for many cancers that could be otherwise avoided.</p>
<p>Of the countries included in the report, Britain scored the highest points for sedentary behavior, alcohol intake and obesity, which means that it also got the highest percentage of preventable cancers – 39 percent of the 12 major types. The US came behind with 34 percent, Brazil with 30 and China with 27 percent. At the same time, the report also highlighted that the situation could be easily overturned by adopting a series of joint drastic changes that would encourage people to lead a healthier lifestyle.</p>
<p>Eating less processed meat, more fruit and vegetables, lowering alcohol intake and weight watching could be the first steps towards solving this problem, researchers advise. Nevertheless, it’s not enough to just put the word out there, they add, since the government and companies also have to get involved to really make a change. What’s more important, this has to be done as soon as possible, to prevent a possible crisis.<span id="more-2166"></span></p>
<p>“Around 13,000 cancer cases in the UK are linked to being overweight or obese. And even more are linked to poor diets, drinking too much alcohol and not doing enough exercise. After smoking, these are some of the biggest preventable causes of cancer. Doing nothing could be disastrous. There is no magic bullet, no one single fix to the problem. If we are to tackle the situation, we need individuals, business and government to work together to encourage healthy lifestyles by promoting things like cycle lanes and food labeling.” Richard Davidson of Cancer Research UK.</p>

Here some tips to help you achieve your goal and if you stick to it, you will find that not only will your stomach get flatter, you will also lose weight from all parts of your body.</p>
<p>Correct eating habit and nutrition is the most important factor in getting a flat stomach. You will have to control your blood sugar levels to lose body fat to do this; you will need to consume five to six meals small meals per day. Please note, I said small meals. For example, you can divide the portion of your three daily meals into 5-6 smaller meals. Simple as that!</p>
<p>Next step is to reduce your carbohydrate consumption to 50 percent or less from your meals. Most people eat too much carbohydrate and before their body could burn up the carbs for energy, they would have already been converted to glycogen and fat. However, you need not go to the extreme by cutting your carbs too drastically.</p>
<p>Consume your small meals every 2 to 3 hours. This is because when your stomach empties itself, your body will tend to conserve fat and by eating frequently, you will be controlling your blood sugar level to encourage fat loss and you will begin to lose weight gradually. However, if you are still not losing weight, then you are consuming too much calories and so if this happens to you, make your meals even smaller by cutting more carbs.<span id="more-2156"></span></p>
<p>By the first week, you will probably lose between 4 to 5 pounds (about 2kg) of water weight. Subsequently, you should about 1 to 2 pounds per week. If you are losing more weight than that, then you are probably losing muscles too. So monitor your weight loss carefully. Now, if you are not losing 1 to 2 pounds per week, then reduce another 100 calories from your meals. Remember to abstain from sugar laden drinks such as soft drinks or coffee with cream and sugar as these drinks are chock full of calories.</p>
<p>You will need to be on this eating program for six days a week reserving one day as cheat day to reward yourself for keeping up with the regimen successfully. However, I am not in favor the cheat day because people tend to use it as an excuse to and over eat. You need decide for yourself whether you want to include a cheat day or not.</p>
<p>You may also want to to include a weight training program because for every pound of muscle you gain, you will burn 30-50 extra calories a day naturally. Part of your weight training program should include abdominal exercises to tighten up your abs to give you the flat stomach look.</p>
<p>Lastly, set aside four to five days a week to perform cardio exercises for about 30-40 minutes. This is done to help you burn up more calories. Is this flat stomach program easy to follow? I will say it is not and that is why so few people succeed in getting have flat stomachs. However, it is definitely achievable if your motivation to have a flat stomach is compelling enough.</p>
