Don’t stretch before Exercising

August 13th, 2010 | No Comments | Posted in LifeStyle, discoveries, health information, information

According to some experts, if you want a better workout? Then don’t stretch beforehand. Many people take it for granted that they should start their exercise routines with some stretching on the spot, perhaps hoping it will loosen them up for their workout. Most fitness experts now agree this kind of static stretching before exercise is not just counter-productive, but potentially harmful.

Traditional stretches, like when people bend over to touch their toes or stretch their legs on a fence, often cause the muscles to tighten rather than relax — exactly the opposite of what is needed for physical activity. Experts say it is like extending a rubber band to its limit. When people stretch to the maximum, they are more likely to pull a muscle.

“We have developed this idea of static stretching at exactly the wrong time,” said Kieran O’Sullivan, an exercise expert at the University of Limerick in Ireland, who has studied various types of stretching and their impact on athletes.

my investment interest

Basically, I’m very open about my interest to buy gold coins as an investment product. Why not? We all know gold is one of the most sought after precious metal for coinage, jewelry and other arts. Recently, gold has been receiving special attention from investors since last year, which makes some of them a tad nervous. Their interests even peaked when its price hits the all-time highs. Even if that is the case we are still far from approaching a gold bubble.

Historically, gold has always been known as a safe-haven investment because it retains value. When the United States great inflation and recession, of course most of the investors fled to gold to protect their investments. But, gold has now soared again. Mining companies are back in the game and moving at full speed exploring 20-30 year-old deposits with new technology as well as exploring untouched deposits.

Some investors even believed that as we see the billion baby boomers grow up, get married and start investing we will see gold consumption increase even higher. So, as far as the gold rush coming to an end, it’s something that we probably won’t see in the near future.

what captured my attention

Yesterday, we went to the funeral of my sister’s father-in-law who died from stroke. We decided to stay for a little longer to attend the prayer vigil before going home. My brother-in-law came in late. I was just able to send my deepest condolences after the prayer.

While going out of the funeral homes, I noticed the new halo headlights of their six month old car. I did not know about the replacement since my sister and I aren’t talking much lately. The stylish and alluring smoky angel eyes capture my attention and made me stay for a little longer to inspect the car. How I wish I also have a car that I can personalize. I’m pretty sure if I do, it would be a head turner. Hehehe
