precious memories
I gather some of the old films my parents own. Actually, I planned to toss them away. Silly me, it’s precious memories that I want to get rid of. The only reason I made this decision is that they are no longer using it. The films player is already destroyed and they are already using DVD’s at home. And one way or the other it is eating space in the storage, inviting more dust and insects. Throwing them away is the best decision I had before. But, as I am about to do that I saw my mom cried. She begs that I should not do that. Okay, my heartbreaks because of that.
Another thing I learn as I gave my fellow blogger a visit is film transfer. It is not just an ordinary computer to computer file transfer, but the transfer of 8mm film to DVD. Not just a transfer, the service also restores deteriorated film like it is freshly taken.
Transferring the 8mm to DVD will give me the opportunity to remove the bulky stuff in the storage. And, my mom can now share her precious memories to her friends and even to us her kids instead of keeping it in a lonely dark room. However, it is a bit expensive. The good news is that they are giving away SALE until September 7th of 2009. I should hurry before the promo ends or I will have to wait for another promo. That is still a big savings.
