Savings can start at young age. Encourage your child to save money on his piggy bank. However, it doesn’t have to be piggy at all time. You can shift to kitty bank instead. All you have to do is to look for a jar or container and screw on the lid. Then, turn it upside down. Cut a coin slot on the side of the jar using a knife. Use a cute white sock and pull it down over the jar, right until the heel of the sock is on top. You will have to cut the foot of the sock to form the kitty’s ears. Tie the ears together in a loose knot. Don’t forget to make a slit for the coin slot. Use a hot glue to attach the eyes, nose and mouth. You can also draw the face using a permanent marker. And, lastly you can make the kitty tag and thread it through a ribbon. Most importantly when the kitty bank becomes full accompany your child to deposit it to his savings account to have had intentionally open for him.
