Get Card Smart!

June 20th, 2008 Posted in LifeStyle

I have been struggling to answer this question in my mind of should I have a credit card? How many do I really need? The thing about this plastic card is that there’s no hard and fast rule on how many credit cards you should owe, or even if you should have one. It would depend on your lifestyle and your spending habits.

The common preference is two cards: one for making purchases in behalf of their companies, another for personal expenses. Travelers like me find credit cards very convenient, saving me from the hassle of having to carry cash. This is a practical way in traveling to avoid burglars. Not only that continually using your card will earn you bonus points which will give you rewards in the long run.

Some couples prefer sharing an account. The wife uses a supplementary to her husband’s primary card to pay for household expenses. But ours is different, I’m the supplementary of my wiffy since I haven’t received any confirmation from the card companies I have applied credit card. The advantage is that both cards generate rewards points for a single account, making accumulation faster. There are other woman, though, who like the freedom of managing their own money, and so keep their own credit cards. Well, I should really have my own I hope the confirmation will come soon so I can enjoy my own credit card.
