Homosexuality is a reality that all children encounter. How can parents discuss this sensitive issue? One of the psychiatrist says that parents should tell their children that some people are born male, for example, but later on find that they are more comfortable behaving like a girl; and the same time may hold true for the female. Don’t expose kids to people or situations that ridicule or treat homosexuals with disdain. The important thing to teach children is that people should be treated equally, so that children do not develop prejudices against homosexuals. Acceptance is the key. After all, each person deserves our respect.
